Brock Lesnar is one of the biggest draws in the history of professional wrestling. Despite not retiring and remaining perfectly healthy, the former WWE Champion has been in a prolonged absence from the ring of WWE, leaving fans in the dark whether he would ever make his return.

The question remains: what happened to Brock Lesnar? The Beast Incarnate has not shown up on WWE TV due to his name coming up in the ongoing Janel Grant scandal against Vince McMahon. The case is under investigation at the moment.

When Janel Grant’s legal team pressed charges against Vince McMahon and provided the necessary documents, Brock’s name was embroiled indirectly alongside the former WWE Chairman earlier this year, putting a serious question mark over his future in WWE.

Since then, WWE has predominantly refrained from mentioning Lesnar’s name on WWE programming. However, Cody Rhodes did take his name during a recent promo. His merchandise, which was one of the best-selling ones in WWE, was removed from WWE shops. Soon after the news broke out, the company also removed his name from the list of active wrestlers in WWE.

What Is Janel Grant’s Claim About Brock Lesnar In The Ongoing Lawsuit?

The ten-time World Champion’s name didn’t come up directly in this ongoing lawsuit. However, he was indirectly referred to while naming Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis. Vince wanted Brock to sign a new contract, and as per the report, the former used Janel Grant as bait to sign him.

The former WWE boss reportedly set up a procedure to send Brock Lesnar some risque photos, making it bait to sign the new contract. It is also suggested that Vince planned a warm intimacy between them, using it to offer a new WWE contract to the legendary Superstar.

Nevertheless, neither of these claims has been confirmed by anyone. These are only accusations by Janel Grant’s legal team. Besides Vince and John Laurinaitis, she mentioned that a former UFC fighter was embroiled in this scenario. Being one of the biggest stars of the company, the hint at Brock’s name, who is a former UFC Champion,  came at a high price regardless of the truth.

Lensar is currently married to Rena Marlette Greek, better known as Sable of WWE. They have been a married couple since 2006, living as a happy family with two kids. When his name came up during the investigation, neither Brock nor Sable made any official comment.

Additionally, the Beast Incarnate is a private person. Unlike most WWE Superstars, he doesn’t have any social media presence despite his reputation as one of the biggest draws in the industry. He seldom makes public appearances outside the ring of WWE.

Brock Lesnar’s Last Match Was At SummerSlam 2023

Brock Lesnar returned to WWE with the new Cowboy gimmick, sporting a long hair and farmer outfit. Initially, he remained in the title picture and even won the WWE Championship under the new character for the first time. Once he dropped the WWE Title to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 38, he drifted away from the world championship picture.

He had a dream feud with Bobby Lashley, followed by Omos and Cody Rhodes. The Beast and The American Nightmare encountered each other in three matches, with Brock winning one of them. His last WWE match was at SummerSlam 2023 against Cody, and he has been on a long hiatus since then.

The Future Of Brock Lesnar’s WWE Career

Janel Grant’s lawsuit is still pending, and WWE has been keeping a distance from the three names that have come up; Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and Brock Lesnar.

Currently, in October 2024, Brock Lesnar is still under contract with WWE. Taking home 12 million dollars a year, he is among the highest-paid wrestlers employed by the company. Amid the ongoing controversy, there is no confirmed date of his return.

Recently, there was an update about his future in WWE. As per Fightful Select, a top personality of the company confirmed, there are no creative plans for Brock Lesnar at the moment. It was also reported that it would be shocking to see him back in the ring amid the ongoing lawsuit in the court, knowing the reputation of WWE as a global brand. Hence, we are unlikely to see him wrestle in the ring anytime soon.

Earlier this year, Lesnar was supposed to be part of Royal Rumble 2024, but WWE scrapped his booking once his name popped up in Janel Grant’s lawsuit, even though she didn’t take his name openly. For a similar reason, he didn’t take part in WrestleMania 40.

The 46-year-old might not have many years left in his wrestling career. Once his current WWE contract expires, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him hang up his boots, leaving a perennial legacy behind as one of the most decorated stars of sports and entertainment.
