Recently, WWE held a live show in Allstate Arena, located in Rosemont, Illinois, where Cody Rhodes, the reigning WWE Champion, shared a heartfelt moment with a little fan after his match.
A child held a poster writing, ‘I beat cancer to be here’. Seeing the message, Rhodes immediately welcomed him to the ring. As soon as the brave cancer-surviving fan entered the ring, the WWE Champion handed him his signature Cody Rhodes white belt with his sign and then he proceeded to hug him. The fan was seemingly delighted hugging Rhodes.
The WWE Champion picked up the other champion on his lap, giving him a moment to cherish after winning his life battle. Watching the emotional moment, everyone in the audience cheered for Cody and the little fan, making the latter’s night. The little man went home cherishing the unforgettable moment in the middle of the ring for his whole life.
At one point, John Cena used to be the hero of every child watching WWE. Cody Rhodes has been successful in establishing himself as the biggest babyface of WWE, and he possesses a similar impact among little kids. A myriad of young children see the American Nightmare as their inspiration to overcome obstacles in life.
Cody Rhodes is set to face Kevin Owens at Royal Rumble 2025
Cody Rhodes is currently embroiled in a feud with Kevin Owens. He has been unbeaten since clinching the gold at WrestleMania 40. He already beat Owens on Saturday Night’s Main Event episode on December 14, 2024.
Hence, Owens will get another opportunity to capture the title at Royal Rumble 2025, making it a rematch between the two. If Rhodes walks out a victory once again, their feud is likely to conclude.
