Wrestling for the SmackDown brand, Solo Sikoa is recognized as a leading talent on the roster, emerging as a main event-level talent after WrestleMania 40. He has ascended as the new Tribal Chief of the new Bloodline, leading the other members of the stable, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu. The quartet of individuals recently went on a War Games battle with the OG Bloodline, led by Roman Reigns, creating a civil war within the family. 

Solo Sikoa has been a heel throughout his main roster WWE career, first as Roman Reigns’ enforcer and then as the leader of the new Bloodline. He is only 31 years old and has ample time to gradually build a legacy. Coming from the famous Anoa’i family as the youngest sibling of The Usos, he carries the weight of family responsibility and reputation to attain success in the squared circle.

5) Played Football In College

Several Anoa’i family members were accomplished football players before deciding to make a career in the squared circle. For instance,  The Rock was an acclaimed football player, playing the sport for the University of Miami and Miami Hurricanes. Similarly, Roman Reigns was a talented footballer for Georgia Tech and represented the Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars in their pre-season.

Solo Sikoa’s WWE career began in 2021 when his NXT career kicked off. After gaining prominence in WWE, the Superstars generally start getting movie roles. Nevertheless, it didn’t apply to Solo Sikoa. While he has not done a movie since becoming a WWE star, he had a movie role three years before joining WWE.

Aged 25, Solo Sikoa starred in the movie Destroyer. The movie was released in the theatres in 2018. Featuring Nicole Kidman, Sebastian Stan, and Toby Kebbell, it was an A-List cast film. 

Solo Sikoa, on the other hand, had a small part in the movie playing a character called Taz. Despite being critically acclaimed, the film failed to do well at the box office. 

3) Solo Sikoa’s Wrestling Career Began In 2018

2018 was a landmark year for Solo Sikoa. Besides featuring in a movie, his professional wrestling career started the same year. However, it didn’t happen in WWE. He honed his skills elsewhere before landing a deal with the Stamford-based promotion. 

He debuted as a professional wrestler in April 2018. He adopted the ring name ‘Solo Sikoa for the first time in WWE. Hence, he used a different name in the Indies. The new Tribal Chief was recognized as Sefa Fatu.

Performing in the indies, he was a tag team partner with his current Bloodline enforcer and cousin, Jacob Fatu. He won singles titles in AWF and FSW. 

2) A Young Solo Sikoa Was Close To His Uncle Yokozuna 

Solo Sikoa was born in 1993, the year his uncle Yokozuna reached the pinnacle of his WWE career, winning the Royal Rumble match and headlining WrestleMania 9. Yokozuna had a short-lived career at the top, but he left an irreplaceable mark.

Solo Sikoa was only seven years old when Yokozuna passed away at a young age of 34. However, the two-time WWE Champion shared a profound connection with Solo Sikoa in his childhood. 

Solo’s real name is Joseph Yokozuna Fatu. His middle name was given after Yokozuna aka Agatupu Anoa’i’s ring name in WWE. 

1) Met His Current Wife At The University 

As noted before, Solo Sikoa pursued his university in North Dakota, studying at Dickinson State University. He came across his wife, Almia Williams Fatu, in his university days when he was around 20.

Born in March 1992, Almia Williams is a year older than the former NXT North American Champion. The university’s sweethearts remained a couple for seven years before Sikoa proposed to her in 2020.

The couple walked down the aisle in 2023. They are happy parents of two boys, Zion and Zakhi, aged 6 and 3 years old respectively.
