Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch are regarded as one of the power couples in professional wrestling. The couple became parents in December 2020, welcoming a daughter named Roux, who has recently turned four.
The distinguished female Irish wrestler became a mother at 33 when her wrestling career was at its zenith. Despite becoming new parents, Roux’s arrival to the world didn’t hinder, either Seth or Becky’s wrestling career. Once their relationship was official, a few months later they got engaged, moving their relationship forward.
They were scheduled to originally get married in 2020, but the pandemic and Lynch’s pregnancy postponed the plan. They walked down the aisle in June 2021. Following pregnancy, she played the mother’s role efficiently at home for eight months, but she made her comeback at SummerSlam 2021, winning the SmackDown Women’s Championship in an impromptu match. She continued to remain a full-time performer until her contract expiry in June.
Their parenthood became easier because the wrestling duo was put in the same show. In the past three years, they remained an integral of Monday Night RAW. Hence, backstage, either of them could take care of Roux, carrying her to every live show, weekly episode, or Premium Live Event.
Moreover, behind the curtains, aside from the fierce rivalries on TV, a majority of WWE Wrestlers have good rapport in the locker room. Hence, whenever the former WWE Champion and the Women’s Champion traveled with their baby backstage, she was well-received by other wrestlers. Becky Lynch On How She Balances Both Roles
Becky Lynch launched her book ‘ Not Your Average Girl’ earlier this year, talking about various aspects of her life, including motherhood. Before WrestleMania 40, in an interview with. SHAK Wrestling, The Man talked about her role as a parent and how she manages to play both duties efficiently.
Sharing her insight on raising Roux, Becky Lynch revealed that she was blessed to be a top performer for WWE and the mother of Roux. Although playing two duties can be demanding at times, in other ways, it makes things more enjoyable. She added that a woman changes and the whole perspective alters after becoming a mother.
Lynch referenced Mickie James as her role model, seeing her manage both responsibilities flawlessly. The six-time legendary Women’s Champion gave birth to her son, Donovan, when she was wrestling with TNA. Shortly after becoming a mother, she returned to the squared circle, playing the role of a mother and professional wrestler without difficulty.
Becky Lynch Is Currently A Stay-Home Mother And Seth Rollins Is Signed To WWE
Her WWE contract expired in June 2024, following a long stint of three years since becoming a mother. She chose not to renew her contract, and the return timeline is currently ambiguous. However, featuring on Netflix RAW’s new promotional video, Becky Lynch sparked aa rumor of her return to the ring.
For the past seven months, Lynch has been a stay-at-home mother, enjoying time away from the ring and relishing her time with her child. On the other hand, Rollins has returned to the ring following a brief hiatus due to a knee injury at WrestleMania 40.
If The Man indeed comes back to WWE after RAW’s move to Netflix, she would be back juggling her wrestling duties and role as a mother. Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch’s daughter, Roux, is now four years old, and parenting her now is likely to be less challenging than when she was a baby.
