Roman Reigns is currently 39 years old, reaching the final year of his 30s in May this year. The Head of Table was born on May 25, 1985, meaning he will step into his 40s next year in May.
Roman Reigns’ age, in 2010, the year he officially signed for WWE, was only 25 years old, suggesting he has been a staunch employee of the company for 14 years or nearly one and half a decade.
After spending two years in WWE’s developmental brand, which was known as NXT back then, he finally debuted with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, aka Jon Moxley, in the group called The Shield. At the time of his main roster debut, he was only 27 years old, making him a young talent WWE wanted to groom for long-term success eventually.
Roman Reigns Remarkable Career Progress In The 30s
Before even turning thirty, Roman’s push began as a singles star, showing WWE’s intention of making him the next big star after John Cena, considering the Leader of Cenation was already seeing a decline in his career from the main event spot.
In his whole 30s, Reigns remained the primary attraction of the company, even though he has had setbacks alongside success throughout the phase. Roman Reigns won the first of his six world championships in WWE at the age of 30.
Despite WWE’s attempt to push him to the main event, the fans couldn’t connect with his character. Although a babyface, he was hated by a myriad of fans for poor character work. At the peak of his babyface career amid the Big Dog era, he was jeered in every arena. He would receive louder boos than the top heels, showing how displeased people were with WWE’s attempt to push him.
It all changed once he shed the good guy persona and embraced his inner bad guy. In 2020, when Roman Reigns’ age was 35, he turned heel for the first time, changing the trajectory of his character and discovering the ultimate god mode.
From the age of 35 to currently at the age of 39, the past four years of Roman Reigns’ career have been the most notable run of his career. Now, he feels comfortable in his skin, playing the Tribal Chief or Head of the Table character. With years of experience and work in the ring, he displays an unprecedented level of confidence while performing in matches or on the mic.
Roman Reigns’ recent comeback to the WWE has seemingly made him a babyface alongside Cody Rhodes, who are together standing up against Solo Sikoa-led Bloodline. Currently, he draws more cheers everywhere than he ever did as the babyface in the Big Dog era.
Roman Reigns Is The Youngest In His Family
Roman. Reigns belongs to one of the greatest wrestling families in the business, the Anoa’i Family, which consists of dozens of WWE of Famers, including his father, Sika Anoa’i. His father won three Tag Team Titles in WWE as part of tha Wild Samoans.
Besides Roman, Sika Anoa’i had another son. His first-born son and Roman’s older brother Rosey wrestled for WWE in the early 2000s. Rosey and Roman Reigns’ age difference was notably 15 years. Unfortunately, his brother couldn’t see the Tribal Chief reaching the peak of his WWE career after he left the world in 2017.
