Cody Rhodes has made a reputation as a babyface, earning the love of millions of young fans worldwide, similar to how John Cena did in his prime. Recently, a heartfelt video of a kid with the WWE Champion went viral.
On WWE’s Instagram, the video was posted from the company’s recent live show in Columbus, Georgia. When the American Nightmare was making his grand entrance tuning into his Kingdom song in the background, he spotted a child in the crowd sporting his signature robe and ‘American Nightmare’s t-shirt.
Seeing him, Rhodes picked him up and put him in the middle of the entrance ramps. They had a brief conversation, as the champion guided the young fan, telling him to recreate the things he does. Consequently, instead of Cody, the child shook hands with fans in the crowd on the left and right sides.
After the young admirer of Cody Rhodes finished exchanging handshakes, he brought him back in the middle of the entrance ramps. Standing behind the fan, Rhodes instructed him to do the rest of the entrance. Both Cody and the child screamed ‘Ohoo’, referring to the Kingdom song. The elated child even did the punch downward.
The sweet gesture from the reigning WWE Champion once again showed his warm-hearted personality and affection towards children who look up to him as a hero. It goes without saying that he has successfully replaced John Cena to become the favorite wrestling hero of every young fan.
During his active wrestling days, the Leader of the Cenation created a similar impact, showing sweet gestures, benevolence, and boundless love for all children who watched WWE and adored him. WWE’s attempt to push Cody Rhodes as the top babyface of the company has been successful thus far.
Cody Rhodes Has Recently Allied With Roman Reigns
Roman Reigns’ recent return to WWE after a long-awaited four months since WrestleMania 40 brought a surprising twist in the world of WWE. Seemingly returning as a babyface, the Original Tribal Chief, initiated conflict with the new Bloodline guided by his former enforcer Solo Sikoa.
Fighting against four Bloodline members alone has been a major setback for the Head of the Table. Hence, he found an unexpected ally in Cody Rhodes recently, putting away all their differences and previous disputes. At Bad Blood 2024, a returning PLE after twenty years, taking place on October 5, Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes will team up, seeking vengeance against the new Bloodline.
